In addition, it is much less hot than the holding of wool, and therefore are often met with soldiers in Normandy, during the campaign in the summer of 1944.

The Herringbone-twill dress is not that which was given to the infantry, the "two piece herringbone twill work suit" which is given to all recruits from 1942, as well as the soldier fighting in the jungle of Pacific in 1942-1943.De, in 1944, a new dress disguised HBT is specially created and sent to the Pacific.

It was a holding in two pieces (jacket + pants), to which it adds the gaiters used with the "battle dress". These two pieces must be added the HBT Cap.

This holding to the basic mechanics and the work, it could not sew his patches and its ranks above. However, as the summer campaign 44 saw more soldiers to adopt this holding, it was printed in ink ranks on the sleeves of the jackets.
Note the two large pockets on the jacket and pants. On the latter, soldiers them particularly liked because they were "perfect for putting the K rations"
