This holding differs from others because its very special weaving (type "Blue Denim") is a highly resistant suit, and therefore highly appreciated soldiers. In addition, it is much less hot than the holding of wool, and therefore are often met with soldiers in Normandy, during the campaign in the summer of 1944.
A base used as dress anti gas (because impregnated product gas to put on top of the uniform), it later was given to the crews of tank and engineers (they is made of one piece, a bib to integrated belt). Different types of HBT were produced between 1941 and 1945, and for the campaign in Europe and the Pacific.
It was a holding in two pieces (jacket + pants), to which it adds the gaiters used with the "battle dress". These two pieces must be added the HBT Cap.
Note the two large pockets on the jacket and pants. On the latter, soldiers them particularly liked because they were "perfect for putting the K rations"
