The first version of the famous thomson, created in 1919 by Mr John t. Thompson", and which was sold under the name of" Thomson "for the first time in 1921." This weapon received several nicknames, such as "tommygun" or the "Chicago typewriter", when the great Chicago mafieu used it.

We are in the 1930s. The army, to equip its marines made commissioned in 1928. 2 main differences between the thomson of the marines (Mle 1928) and the mafieu of chicago (Mle 1921): sleeve is now in wood, and the gun is equipped with a Compensator of recovery, given the thrust of the engine.
