The Museum:

"The long sobs of autumn violins".
"Hurt my heart to a monotonous languor".

Broadcast in two parts on the BBC in the early days of June 1944, this message, understood as the announcement of theimminence of d-day the French Resistance, was captured and interpreted by senior officers of the German 15th army headquarters was located in Tourcoing.

The Museum of June 5, 1944 "Message Verlaine"installed in the main bunker of the headquarters compound at the time of a couple of blockhouses, traces the history of these messages that preceded the largest operation of the second world war in Europe: d-day to the liberation of Europe.
